About the material

Burgundy in an interior quickly becomes tiring if it has no depth. Here colour is carried by matte stone texture, not by shade alone.

Burgundy is the strongest warm colour in the Slate palette. The burgundy tone through layered matte slate structure feels more mature and serious than most flat burgundy surfaces, without gloss and without a marble pattern.

It comes through most clearly as one carefully chosen surface: a wall, a panel, a counter or furniture. With Ankara, Alaska or dark wood the contrast is clear but controlled. Unlike Amazzonia, it moves into a warm, dark zone; unlike Vulcano, it carries colour, not only shadow depth.

When neutral stone feels too safe and marble too representative, Burgundy takes the middle with a clear identity.
