About the material

When an interior mixes wood, stone and neutral surfaces, this is the tone that connects them without taking the lead.

Sugi joins the grey and beige tones of Japanese cedar into a shade that is neither pure wood nor pure stone. The grain is present but restrained; the surface feels tactile and stable, without rustic emphasis.

Because of that neutrality it often becomes a bridge between different materials in the same space: light and dark wood, grey stone, metal, textiles. Unlike Acai or Kuri, it does not pull the interior into one strong colour. Legno Venezia on the same task feels older and more structured; Sugi stays quieter and more balanced.

When wood needs to connect a palette rather than define it, Sugi is the most flexible choice in the Ki No Bi collection.
