If you want wood that looks as if it has a history, not as if it came new from a factory, Legno Venezia starts from bricole, the wooden posts that have guided navigation through Venice's canals for centuries. Their texture and patina, formed by years of exposure to water and wind, are carried onto a ceramic surface.

Sabbia and Noce offer two interpretations, lighter and warmer, with an expressive grain structure that keeps the authenticity of the original wood.

About the collection

Legno Venezia collection: a story of time written into wood

Bricole are one of the most recognisable symbols of Venice. Over decades of exposure to water and tide changes, their surface develops a texture that cannot be artificially reproduced overnight.

Legno Venezia carries exactly that sense of authenticity. Instead of an idealised depiction of wood, the focus is on natural traces of time, irregularities and richness of texture.

Unlike Ki No Bi, which moves toward Japanese simplicity and discreet grain, Legno Venezia emphasises a more expressive structure and more visible signs of aging.

The material fits projects that need the warmth and character of wood with a clear story: floors, walls, furniture elements where the feel of a material that already has history is wanted.
