When the edge should look the same as the surface

If the slab edge must stay visible, for example on a worktop or a stair tread, In-Side solves a problem other materials have. The structure runs through the full slab thickness, not only on the face, so the edge looks the same as the top surface.

Inspiration comes from traditional Italian stone materials, Cardoso, Piasentina and Porfido, stones known for long use in architecture because of their structure and durability.

About the collection

In-Side collection: when surface and body become one

On most decorative surfaces, visual identity sits only on the face of the material. In-Side was developed with a different idea: the structure allows continuity between the outer look and the inner composition of the slab.

Inspiration comes from traditional Italian stone materials used for centuries in architecture for durability, texture and character. Laminam carries that inspiration through Cardoso, Piasentina and Porfido, keeping their recognisable aesthetic.

Unlike I Naturali, where visual identity is limited to the slab face, In-Side continues the same character through the full thickness, so surface, edge and the way the material reads through the body matter equally.

The material is most often chosen for projects where the edge is visible and will be finished: worktops, staircases, furniture elements, where a visible difference between face and body would immediately read as imitation.
