Filo

A surface that changes with the light in the room

If a flat metal panel feels too technical and cold, Filo takes another approach. The texture recalls an interwoven thread, so sheen changes with viewing angle and time of day, instead of staying the same across the whole surface.

The palette runs from lighter, balanced tones (Argento and Brina) to darker, more expressive ones (Ghisa, Mercurio, Oro and Pece). It works on vertical surfaces: walls, portals, furniture fronts and facades. On a facade, the metallic structure can reflect light unevenly, so uniform reflection is not guaranteed.

About the collection

Filo collection: metal that changes look with light

Metal indoors most often carries a contemporary but also cold, technical character. Filo was developed to keep the visual strength of metal, but through a texture that behaves differently: it reacts to light instead of simply reflecting it.

Inspiration comes from precious metals (gold, silver, mercury) as well as darker tones such as pitch and cast iron. Each material in the collection keeps the same principle: the surface changes perception depending on angle and light intensity in the space.

Unlike Oxide and Ossido, which follow traces of oxidation and patina on metal, Filo does not show an aging process. The texture is interwoven and constant, and change comes only from light, not from the colour of the surface itself.

Filo is used on vertical surfaces: walls, portals, furniture fronts and facades. On a facade, plan for changing light reflection and alternating slab rotation during installation. One surface is often enough as an accent.
